2009 was a terrific year for reading. The proof of that is in the quality of the Cybils shortlists, which came out this morning. As a member of the committee who selected the shortlist for Middle Grade/Young Adult Nonfiction, I can tell you that it was not easy whittling down a list of 50 nominees to 5 finalists. But we did it! (I wrote the blurb for my personal favorite, I Can't Keep My Own Secrets.)
And so did all the other groups. Find all of the shortlists here.
