New York Times Best Seller Lists Get an Update

It's been a pretty good week for young adult literature.  Not only did John Green's The Fault in Our Stars make it onto two best books of the year lists (note: not best kids or young adult books, but best of all the books), but the New York Times has announced that there will now be separate best seller lists for middle grade and young adult.  Awesome sauce! Young adult literature is finally getting its own list (which to me means it's getting the respect it deserves).

Interesting to note, though, is that the article makes it sound like it's already changed, but when I went to the best sellers page, it's still the same ol' combined list.  Maybe next week?

  1. Thanks for sharing this excellent news, Alicia. I didn't know that - it's a move that should have been made a long time back, but I'm glad they're doing it now!
