Trailer Tuesday: The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson

Typically, when I post for Trailer Tuesday it's for a book (or movie!) trailer that I think just *has* to be shared with teens.  This week's trailer is less about the trailer itself (which is good, don't get me wrong, but appeals more specifically to an adult audience) and more about the book, which comes from one of my most favorite YA authors, Laurie Halse Anderson*.

* Anderson's Speak was the first YA novel I ever read and basically made me decide I had to become a YA librarian.  I got to tell her this (while tears sprung in my eyes) this summer at a dinner hosted by Penguin.  Then she hugged me.  And thanked me, like I was somehow the one who was doing something when she's the one who's written such amazing books and makes my job easy!

Trailer Tuesday: The Killing Woods by Lucy Christopher

In my experience with middle schoolers, there's no better way to get teens excited about a book than a well-crafted and enthusiastic book talk and a really awesome book trailer.  On Tuesdays I like to highlight some of my favorite book trailers.

Lucy Christopher's newest gripping suspense title, The Killing Woods released back on January 7th, but I was way too preoccupied with BFYA committee work to give it any attention.  I still haven't yet had a chance to read it, but everything I hear about it is awesome.  It's just waiting atop my TBR pile, thanks to an ARC I received from the publisher at ALA Midwinter.  And once you watch this trailer, something tells me it just might jump to the top of your TBR pile as well.
