Seriously? I'm the LibrariYAn, and I can't make this stuff up. An acutal NYTimes headline reads "One Way to Encourage Checking-Out at the Library." Guess I don't have that market cornered*.
ETA: The above article is about library speed-dating events. A great idea, I think. I firmly believe in the library as a place for the community to gather. Probably not something to implement at the middle school level though.
