YA for NJ

You can take the girl outta Jersey, but you can't take the Jersey outta the girl.  I may live in VA, but my heart will always remain true to NJ.  A couple of weeks ago, Jersey - especially the coast - was hit hard by hurricane Sandy.  My parents, who live in North Jersey, were without power for 2 weeks.  And that sucked, but thousands of people lost their homes and all of their possessions and are still displaced.

Bruce Springsteen did a huge televised concert that raised a ton of money for victims.  Now over 150 YA and MG authors are doing an auction to raise money for The Community Foodbank of New Jersey.  From November 30th - December 6th, items will be auctioned off on ebay.  There's a tons of cool things to bid on, like a Skype visit with Gayle Forman, autographed books and ARCs (Advance Reader Copy) of tons of upcoming books, manuscript critiques from various authors and editors, and other really cool stuff.

You should definitely pop over and peruse the goods.  Oh, and did I mention that 100% of the money raised goes directly to charity? Sure does.
