Imagine looking down at a milk carton one day to see your own face smiling back at you.  That's what happened to Janie at lunch one day.  From the carton, she learns that she was kidnapped from New Jersey when she was two years old.  The Face on the Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney tells Janie's story of unraveling the secrets of her past and searching for the truth about who she is and where she came from.

The Face on the Milk Carton, released in 1990, is a middle school classic.  Over the years, a number of sequels have been released.  It's been 12 years since the last installment, but Cooney is finally back with the conclusion to Janie's story - not to mention some sweet new covers for the series!
