Review in Two: Skim by Mariko Tamaki*

(S)kim Keiko Cameron’s got a few extra pounds, an interest in Wicca and shifting friendships, and she just might be in love for the first time – with her English teacher Ms. Archer. Told through diary entries in a graphic novel format, this quick, but intense story transports the reader to 1993 to experience high school drama at was, is, and likely ever shall be.

* and illustrated by Mariko's cousin Jillian
