Best of 2012: Goodreads Choice Awards

There I was putting together my "Best Books of 2012" presentation for my 8th graders, when I realized that I never checked back on Goodreads to see who the winners were of the Goodreads Choice Awards.  Oops! Let's remedy that.

Most of the awards are for the adult market, but a few are for children and teens:

Young Adult Fiction: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Young Adult Fantasy*: Insurgent: Collector's Edition (Divergent) by Veronica Roth
Middle Grade and Children's: The Mark of Athena (Heroes of Olympus, Book 3) by Rick Riordan

 

*This is a science fiction title, not a fantasy title, but I'll let it slide, since most people don't realize there is a difference.
